Kicking Off the Enactus Year with British Airways

Enactus Kick-Off x British Airways 2026

The Enactus year is officially underway! Hosted at our partner British Airways’ Waterside offices, our annual Enactus Kick-Off brought together 68 students from 18 universities across the UK and Ireland.

Kick-Off was an opportunity to equip our new students and teams with the mindset and tools to have a #winning Enactus year, for themselves, their university teams and their projects. Through hands-on activities, shared experiences and an insider perspective on what great impact looks like at Enactus, students explored how to turn their ambition into action.

In true Enactus fashion, students took part in hands-on activities and challenges to get them to start thinking about their projects, teams, and all the exciting opportunities to come this Enactus year. Kick-Off opened up conversations about planning, taking action and finding the confidence to move forward without having every answer at the outset.

The day gave students the chance to connect with other Enactus teams, share their experiences and learn from one another’s perspectives. At lunchtime, British Airways graduates joined us for a networking session, giving students the opportunity to hear about their career journeys and ask questions about opportunities at British Airways.

It was fantastic to see teams dive head-first into the experience, and their feedback showed how much they took away. All students who shared feedback said the session positively impacted their personal development, while most left feeling more confident about making an impact through their projects. One of our main goals is for students to leave knowing what to do next, so it was great to hear that 98% had a clear action to take after the session. That’s what Kick-Off is all about: helping students see the possibilities ahead and feel ready to get started.

This is what our students had to say about the day:

“My experience at the start up today has definitely filled me with a lot more confidence going forward in the year and helped refine some of my preconceived conception about what you need to do in Enactus.”

“I believe the day was a brilliant. I was taught several new career defining skills like leadership and entrepreneurial skills which will serve me in my future.”

We are incredibly excited to see how our students build on this energy, support their teams and create positive impact in communities across the UK and Ireland throughout the year.

A massive thank you to our fantastic partner, British Airways, the amazing British Airways graduates who joined us for lunchtime networking, and our Partner Champions, for their support behind the scenes and for hosting us on the day. Thank you for helping our Changemakers get their Enactus year off to a flying start!
