Launching NextGen Challenge Days with BDO: First Stop, Eden Girls’ School

We are thrilled to launch our latest series of NextGen Challenge Day, a hands-on initiative delivered in partnership with BDO to bridge classroom learning with essential workplace skills. To kick off the rollout, we visited Eden Girls’ School, bringing together over 100 Year 8 learners for a high-impact experience focused on problem-solving, collaboration, and innovation.

Working in teams, young Changemakers were tasked with investigating local community issues, identifying their root causes, and designing viable solutions. Throughout the process, teams brought their ideas to life by creating project boards, which they then pitched directly to a panel of teachers and 10 corporate volunteers from BDO.

At the core of our NextGen Challenge Days is a commitment to develop the next generation of responsible leaders by providing them with future ready skills. Across the group, learners reported key growth in [skill] and [skill], proving the value of bringing a learning-by-doing approach into the classroom and helping young leaders see how their capabilities transfer to the wider world of work.

A huge thank you to BDO and their fantastic team of volunteers for dedicating their time and expertise to make this first session such a success. Their guidance gave our learners direct access to practical career insights, with many noting how volunteer feedback helped refine and elevate their ideas throughout the day.
