Welcoming Our New CEO: Amy Brereton

We are incredibly excited to share the news that as of the 1st of November, we have a new CEO: Amy Brereton! Amy takes the helm with a deep knowledge, genuine passion, and strong relationships across all aspects of our network.

Amy’s connection to Enactus spans over 16 years, beginning as a student in 2009. Her journey from Enactus student to CEO is the very definition of 'full circle,' and a powerful testament to her unwavering belief and passion for our organisation. This is also a landmark moment in Enactus UK & Ireland history: Amy is the first CEO to be a product of the programme itself. Having lived and breathed every part of our community for more than a decade and a half, she brings a deep understanding of our work and impact that will be invaluable to our mission.

For the past five years as part of the leadership team, Amy's commitment has been undeniable. She embodies the Enactus values of passion, integrity, innovation, and collaboration. This foundation has allowed her to effectively lead Enactus through exciting, impactful, and often challenging periods. Amy’s leadership was perhaps most critical during the challenges of 2023, where she successfully integrated Enactus Ireland, led the Enactus World Cup Competition, and provided a leading voice and driver in both UK & Ireland and global operations - all while successfully ensuring continuous student engagement and project success. Instrumental in our growth, she has worked tirelessly to develop new, purposeful programmes and firmly established a direction that ensures Enactus remains truly needs-led in its service to our community.

As Amy takes the reigns, she does so with a clear vision to deepen the collective influence and impact of our network in our core mission to develop the next generation of responsible leaders, equipping them with the skills, behaviours, and agency to make a positive difference now.

"It is a privilege to step into the role of CEO at Enactus UK & Ireland, and I do so with huge appreciation for the role Enactus has played in my own journey to being in this position today. I am 100% committed to realising our ambition and giving back to a community that gave me so much. I can’t wait to work with our incredible team and network to grow our positive impact and together empower the responsible leaders of tomorrow."

We also want to take a moment to thank Robin Lassiter, Ken McFarland, and the wider Enactus Board of Directors, community and friends, for their continued support and guidance in developing Amy to this point in her journey. We are confident that under Amy's leadership, we will continue to strengthen Enactus's impact.

Together, we will ensure Enactus remains a place where young people can build the skills, confidence, and agency to make a positive difference both now and in the future.
