After two weeks of action across the UK and Ireland, our Regional Impact Accelerators came to an end this Wednesday! Across four sessions, we helped students develop their projects, build their confidence and turn their ideas into meaningful community impact. With over 120 students from more than 30 universities, the sessions focused on developing the problem-solving, awareness and project management skills needed to put ideas into action.
Across our four locations, London @Unilever, Dublin @SAP, Birmingham @University of Birmingham and Edinburgh @Skyscanner, we supported over 50 student-led projects, from early ideas to established initiatives already creating change. The sessions brought together our university teams, students with projects in the ideation stage, and participants from our Social Impact Launchpad. Our aim: To give every student the support to take their next step, whatever stage their project was at.
All students responding to our feedback reported a positive impact on their personal development, with over 90% leaving with a clear, practical roadmap to turn their ideas into action.
“My experience with Enactus today was amazing and inspiring! I really enjoyed the interactive activities, teamwork and creative brainstorming sessions. It helped me think differently, build confidence and understand how small ideas can create a positive impact in society. I especially loved learning how to turn an idea into a meaningful social project.”
“Attending the Regional Impact Accelerator in Dublin was genuinely inspirational. The facilitators provided personalised advice and support which helped progress the projects unlike any other event.”
Students also benefited from the expertise of over 50 corporate volunteers, including colleagues from SAP, British Airways, Unilever and KPMG. Through practical advice, fresh perspectives and encouragement, our volunteers helped students work through challenges and identify their next steps.
All students responding to our feedback said that working with volunteers helped them develop their projects and ideas further, while all volunteers responding found the opportunity to support future talent meaningful and rewarding.
“It was rewarding to hear about students’ ideas and passions and inspired me to be more creative [...] “It was a privilege to meet and work with so many aspiring professionals who are building their careers with social responsibility at the centre.”
A huge thank you to everyone who attended, hosted and supported our Regional Impact Accelerators! Together, we helped students build their skills, projects move closer to their potential, and volunteers see the difference their expertise can make. We’re excited to see what our students do next!
