Demystifying Insurance: AIG Insight Day 2026
As the new academic year approaches, students are already looking ahead to their future careers. We were excited to host an exclusive Insight Day at AIG's London offices for our Enactus students.
The aim of the day was to demystify the insurance industry and give students a genuine insight into what a career at AIG, and in insurance more broadly, can offer. By connecting directly with AIG colleagues from across the business, students gained a well-rounded understanding of the industry, its opportunities, and the skills needed to succeed.
The AIG Building, London
The day began with a networking BBQ on the 13th-floor outdoor terrace overlooking central London, followed by an introduction to AIG from our award-winning board member, Nick Carty. This informal setting gave students the opportunity to ask questions, build connections, and hear first-hand experiences from AIG professionals.
The afternoon featured a series of insightful sessions exploring career pathways within the industry. Students also heard practical recruitment advice from Kristie Cooper, who shared valuable insights on how to stand out throughout the application and interview process.
The feedback from students was overwhelmingly positive. Every attendee said they would recommend the experience to their peers, and all reported feeling more confident and informed about their future career options. 100% of participants said they were more likely to apply for an opportunity with AIG following the event.
