Enactus UK & Ireland X Sodexo - ‘Stop Hunger’ Action4Impact Challenge

Introducing the Stop Hunger Action4Impact Competition 2024! This is an opportunity for Enactus projects to work with Sodexo to accelerate their impact on their local community. This competition aims to empower students to make a real impact on tackling food insecurity in their local communities. Sodexo are looking for student projects which:

"Demonstrate innovative and practical solutions that aim to tackle food insecurity and the root causes of Food Poverty in the United Kingdom & Ireland”.

Projects should be designed to make a real positive impact, take urgent action to address food poverty and create sustainable long-term impact. Sodexo particularly encourages applications from projects that empower women or bridge the digital skills divide in the context of combatting food insecurity.

Following a short application form the top projects will be invited to pitch at an exclusive invite-only event at the Excel Centre in London on the 8th of April. The Sodexo judges will then have the opportunity to deliberate before announcing the Sodexo Action4Impact Winner. Excitingly, the winner will then go on to compete straight away for the opportunity to be crowned the Overall Action4Impact Winner which will be announced at the National Expo on the 9th of April!

The competition is only open to projects that will continue into 2024/2025.

The competition is only open to projects that have yet to make impact.

Background

Stop Hunger is a Sodexo initiative active in over 40 countries around the world and was created in 1996 by US Sodexo colleagues who witnessed children going to school hungry. In the UK & Ireland, they work with national and local charities to donate time, skills, and money to tackle food insecurity and its root cause. Sodexo also works to empower women who often are the most vulnerable beneficiary group in the fight to stop hunger.

Sodexo: Stop Hunger are partnering with Enactus UK to empower students to develop impactful sustainable social action projects that focus on climate action and help make the world a better more sustainable place for all.
